Biography[]
Fan Qiang was originally a general of Zhang Fei, who was tasked with designing saddles for Liu Bei's invasion force against Wu. When he failed to meet the deadline, he was whipped by Zhang Fei and feared further punishment. Alongside Zhang Da, he came up to Zhang Fei and assassinated him in AD 221. The next year, he found himself fighting against his former employers at Yiling, a Wu victory. But after the battle, he was sent to Shu to appease Liu Bei. He was beheaded by Zhang Bao, the son of Zhang Fei.
