Kuai Yue was the younger brother of Kuai Liang, and both were strategists of Liu Biao well-known across the land.
Biography[]
Kuai Yue was an advisor to Liu Biao. Seldom seen without either his lord or brother, he defended Liu Biao from Sun Jian's invasion of Jing Province in 191. After the victory, he served under Huang Zu at the Battle of Jiang Xia in 208. This battle was a defeat, and he advised the young child Liu Cong to surrender. Liu Cong was killed after his capitulation to Cao Cao. In 208, Cao Cao stated "I would rather have obtained Kuai Yue than Jing Province".
