|Real name:||Xiahou De|
Xiahou De was Wei general.
Xiahou De was the son of Xiahou Dun and the nephew of Cao Cao. At Mt. Dingjun in AD 218, his brother Xiahou Shang was taken prisoner but was aranged to be exchanged with Chen Shi, the Shu general. While the prisoner exchange was in the process, Xiahou De was sent to be in command of the mountaintop defenses of Mt. Tiandang, where the Wei army's food and fodder was being kept. Xiahou De was ambushed by Yan Yan and a fire attack; the exchange was a ploy as well as a conventional practice. Xiahou De tried to soak the flames with a bucket of water, but Yan Yan put him to death with a spear's end.
