Yan Zheng was a general of the Yellow Turbans who killed Zhang Bao.
Biography[]
Yan Zheng was a follower of the religious sect known as "The Way of Peace", led by Zhang Jiao. In AD 184, the "Yellow Turbans" rebelled and Yan Zheng served as a subordinate under Zhang Bao, the younger brother of Zhang Jiao. At Henan-Yin, he assassinated Zhang Bao when the enemy forces attacked the Yellow Turban fortress. However, he was killed by the Han general Guan Yu.
